Dr Milford McArthur
MBBS BMedSci FRACS (Orth) FA (OrthA)
I was born and raised in Hobart, and studied medicine at the University of Tasmania. After a number of years as a doctor at the Royal Hobart Hospital, I moved to Queensland to complete my training as an orthopaedic surgeon. I am a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
After completing my training, I undertook further sub-specialty fellowships in foot and ankle surgery, and in paediatric orthopaedics.
My goal is to provide expert orthopaedic medicine and the best possible care for my patients.
Along with my wife and three children, I have now returned to Tasmania to live and work. This is a great place to raise a family and I have deep roots in the Tasmanian community.
Outside of orthopaedics, I compete in multi-sport and adventure races, and play drums and guitar in rock and blues bands.
